Double Falls is a 39-foot waterfall on Whitaker Creek in Newton County, Arkansas, in the Boston Mountains region. It lies about 21.1 miles southeast of Huntsville and roughly 40.9 miles east of Fayetteville as the crow flies.
At 39 feet it is taller than the typical Arkansas waterfall of about 34 feet, ranking 48th of 110 with a recorded height. By form it is a segmented waterfall, splitting into two or more separate streams as it falls.
The Boston Mountains are the highest and most rugged part of the Ozarks, deeply dissected sandstone plateaus covered in oak-hickory forest with shortleaf pine. Clear creeks cut narrow hollows with numerous bluff-line waterfalls, at their best in spring.
