Hightower Falls is an 80-foot waterfall on Euharlee Creek in Polk County, Georgia, in the Piedmont region. It lies about 7.5 miles southwest of Rockmart and roughly 34.1 miles west of Marietta as the crow flies.
At 80 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of Georgia’s 80 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 18th; the typical Georgia waterfall is about 44.5 feet. It falls in 3 drops.
The Piedmont is rolling upland between the Appalachians and the coastal plain, with mixed oak-pine forest, farmland and expanding cities. Waterfalls mark the fall line and the rocky beds of rivers crossing hard crystalline rock.
