Laurel Falls is a 35-foot plunge on Laurel Creek in Savage Gulf State Park, Grundy County, Tennessee, at an elevation of about 1,620 feet.
The falls
A lidar survey now puts the drop at about 35 feet, well above the 25 feet given by a Southeast Tennessee tourism brochure. The single plunge sends Laurel Creek's water clear of the rock face into a pool at the base.
Getting there
The falls are reached from the Stone Door area of Savage Gulf State Park, a round trip of about 0.3 miles from the Stone Door Ranger Station. Altamont, the nearest town, is about 4.1 miles away, and Chattanooga is roughly 33.8 miles away. The state's 2024 park management plan rates the trail's condition poor.

A brochure describes an overlook along the route before it descends toward the base of the falls, where a pool collects below the drop. Old mill foundation stones stand beside Laurel Creek near the falls, though the origin of the name Laurel Falls is not documented.
