Sullivan Creek Falls is a 162-foot run of steep tiered cascades on Sullivan Creek in Marion County, Oregon, in the Little North Santiam drainage of the Willamette National Forest. The creek spills down its last steps into a pool right beside Forest Road 2207, but that road has been closed since the Beachie Creek and Lionshead fires.
The falls
Sullivan Creek feeds Cedar Creek in the Little North Santiam River basin. The falls measures 162 feet in six drops over a horizontal run of about 275 feet, with the stream averaging about 10 feet wide. At least two more tiers sit just upstream, out of sight from the road, which could lift the full series past 200 feet. The creek flows all year, from about 25 cubic feet per second in the wet months to around 3 in the low-water months.
Getting there
The falls were long a roadside stop: Forest Road 2207 runs past them, 3.8 miles beyond the fork signed for Three Pools, with a small pullout for four or five cars across from the falls and no facilities. A Forest Service closure order effective May 20, 2026 through May 20, 2027 keeps sections of Road 2207 and its spurs closed after the Beachie Creek and Lionshead fires; Three Pools and Shady Cove are closed as well. No reopening date or alternative approach has been announced.
When to go
Once the road reopens, November to May provides the fullest flow.
On site
Before the closure, the lowest tiers could be seen from the road and the pool at their foot. An obscured boot path on the left side climbed toward the upper tiers, alongside a small water slide and a message board at the pullout.
