Big Creek Falls is a stretch of rapids on Big Creek in Stokes County, North Carolina, in the Piedmont region. It lies about 10.4 miles northeast of Pilot Mountain and roughly 24.8 miles north of Winston-Salem as the crow flies.
The Piedmont is rolling upland between the Appalachians and the coastal plain, with mixed oak-pine forest, farmland and expanding cities. Waterfalls mark the fall line and the rocky beds of rivers crossing hard crystalline rock.
It is the only recorded rapid in Stokes County. Bean Shoals, is about 17.5 miles away. White Falls, is about 27.8 miles away across the state line in Virginia.
