Getting there
Grundy Forest has full public access, with parking, trails, a picnic shelter, and backcountry camping. The Grundy Forest Day Loop, a two-mile, moderate, natural-surface trail that passes several waterfalls and swimming holes, was listed open on September 25, 2026. Tennessee state parks generally charge no access fee.

Dogs are allowed on leash. The pool is normally adequate for wading or swimming, though jumping from the cliffs or the waterfall is prohibited.
History and name
Tracy City donated Grundy Forest in 1935 for a Civilian Conservation Corps camp. The area was designated a state natural area in 1974 and entered state park management in 1978.
