Great Falls is a 75-foot horsetail waterfall on Great Falls Creek in King County, Washington, between Tumwater Lake and the East Fork Miller River, in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
The falls
A lidar analysis put the drop at 75 feet in a single fall; the World Waterfall Database has not surveyed it in person and marks it unconfirmed. Several other falls occur farther upstream on Great Falls Creek, and the name Great Falls is presumed to apply to the lowest of them. A separate measurement credits the falls with two upper tiers, 71 and 134 feet, for a combined height near 215 feet, apparently counting cascades farther upstream that this measurement leaves out.
Getting there
There is no official trail or viewpoint to Great Falls. The only published account of reaching it calls the approach a difficult, dangerous bushwhack and does not give directions.
On site
No maintained path reaches the base or top, and no sanctioned viewpoint exists. Swimming rules, dog rules and accident history are not documented.
