Hinter Falls is a 291-foot waterfall on Hinter Creek in King County, Washington, in the North Cascades region. It lies about 20 miles northeast of Tanner and roughly 32.8 miles east of Sammamish as the crow flies.
At 291 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of Washington’s 941 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 134th; the typical Washington waterfall is about 82 feet. By form it is a cascade, descending over a series of rock steps rather than in a single drop.
