Holcomb Creek Falls is a waterfall of about 160 feet on Holcomb Creek in Rabun County, Georgia, a series of steep cascades in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest. A short trail from Hale Ridge Road reaches the falls and continues on a loop past Ammons Creek Falls.
The falls
Holcomb Creek descends in five steep tiers. Lidar measurements place the total drop at approximately 160 feet, though older surveys cited 130 feet. Regional guidebooks note the creek dropping and running over shoals for about 150 feet, featuring a free-falling upper cascade above a steep, sliding lower drop.
Getting there
From Clayton, drive east on Warwoman Road for 10 miles, then turn left onto Hale Ridge Road (FS 7). The Holcomb Creek Trail, No. 52, begins at the intersection of Hale Ridge Road and Overflow Road (FS 86), where parking is available. The green-blazed path crosses a footbridge over a small stream at 0.17 mile and reaches the falls at 0.29 mile. The full Holcomb Creek Trail forms a 1.3-mile loop that ends back on Hale Ridge Road, rated moderately strenuous. Admission is free.

The main falls are viewed from an observation bridge. About a quarter mile farther along the loop, a viewing deck overlooks Ammons Creek Falls. The trail is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
