Jumbo Falls is a 4-foot block waterfall on the Jumbo River in Houghton County, Michigan, near Ottawa National Forest.
The falls
The river spreads across a ledge in one drop. A separate account made during high water in April 2009 measured it at 3 feet and about 10 feet wide, a bit lower than the current figure. The waterfall symbol on USGS maps is placed about half a mile too far north of the actual site.
Getting there
Ottawa National Forest and a visitor guide both place the falls in the forest, though no page specific to a Jumbo Falls trail was found. One route follows Golden Glow Road through Jumbo Pit to parking, with a roughly 0.1-mile trail along the west bank crossing two puncheon bridges. A separate account instead describes 1.8 miles on Golden Glow Road to rougher junctions, a sand pit, and a trailhead near a trout sign, and warns that the trail can be muddy.

The short trail is generally level but includes wooden puncheon crossings, and it can be muddy. No formal accessibility certification exists for it. Swimming, dog, and hazard information for the falls is not documented.
