Quitaque Falls is an 18-foot waterfall on Quitacue Creek in Floyd County, Texas, in the High Plains region. It lies about 13.2 miles northeast of Lockney and roughly 57.1 miles northeast of Lubbock as the crow flies.
At 18 feet it is on the modest side for Texas, where the typical waterfall with a recorded height stands around 32.5 feet; it ranks 22nd of 34.
The High Plains are a flat to gently rolling shortgrass prairie on the western Great Plains with a dry climate. Waterfalls are very uncommon and small.
It is the only recorded waterfall in Floyd County. Lingos Falls, is about 7.4 miles away.
