Wilderness Falls is a 250-foot waterfall in Teton County, Wyoming, in the Middle Rockies region. It lies about 22.1 miles northeast of Driggs and roughly 70.9 miles northeast of Idaho Falls as the crow flies.
At 250 feet it stands in the tallest quarter of Wyoming’s 230 waterfalls with a recorded height, ranking 29th; the typical Wyoming waterfall is about 60 feet. By form it is a horsetail, where the water keeps some contact with the bedrock as it falls.
The Middle Rockies are high, glaciated mountain ranges with alpine peaks, subalpine fir and spruce forest, lodgepole pine and grassy intermontane valleys. Snowmelt streams cascade down glacial valleys and canyon walls.
