Busbys Shoals is a stretch of rapids in Richland County, South Carolina, in the Piedmont region. It lies about 5.3 miles northeast of Chapin and roughly 22.8 miles northwest of Columbia as the crow flies.
The Piedmont is rolling upland between the Appalachians and the coastal plain, with mixed oak-pine forest, farmland and expanding cities. Waterfalls mark the fall line and the rocky beds of rivers crossing hard crystalline rock.
It is the only recorded rapid in Richland County. Chapels Shoals, is about 3.4 miles away. Powells Shoal, is about 6.5 miles away. Griffins Shoal, is about 9.6 miles away.
